Silicon Valley-based AI startup MixerBox, the largest developer in the ChatGPT plugin store, has released the beta version of the company's newest plugin, MixerBox ChatMap, with built-in Google Maps API integration to transform navigation in the AI era. MixerBox ChatMap Plugin is ChatGPT's first real-world navigation plugin, and the world's first artificial intelligence chatbot for maps. This launch cemented the Australian startup's position as the largest developer in the ChatGPT plugin store by number of plugins with more than 10 plugins in the plugin store.
"MixerBox has a long history of developing super apps that make people's lives more convenient," said John Lai, founder and CEO of MixerBox from Taiwan and Australia. "We believe that by combining generative artificial intelligence technologies, we can reimagine all the applications necessary for life in the age of artificial intelligence and develop ChatGPT plug-ins that allow users to do things that were not possible before."
Starting now, ChatGPT Plus users can access and use MixerBox ChatMap Plugin for free. Users who do not have ChatGPT Plus can download MixerBox ChatAI from the App Store/Google Play to experience the innovative artificial intelligence chatbot for working with maps for free.
Including ChatMap, MixerBox has released more than 10 ChatGPT plug-ins to date. These include MixerBox WebSearchG, which features Google search, MixerBox Weather, which provides real-time global weather forecast, and MixerBox ChatPDF, which allows you to analyze and summarize any PDF files. This makes MixerBox the developer with the most published plugins in the ChatGPT Plugin Store, which currently has 682 plugins (as of July 13, 2023).
"ChatGPT is the 'iPhone moment' in artificial intelligence, and the emergence of ChatGPT Plugin Store is similar to the 'App Store moment' in artificial intelligence," said Lai. "We are very optimistic about the prospects of the ChatGPT plugin market and will continue to develop new plugins to help the ChatGPT ecosystem flourish."
The MixerBox ChatMap plugin connects directly to the Google Maps API to quickly read and summarize Google Maps information based on user instructions. Compared to traditional mapping applications, ChatMap offers a more intuitive interface, allowing users to "communicate" with the mapping system directly using natural human language. Users no longer need to understand the cumbersome button-based interfaces of traditional mapping applications to solve a task, but can instead directly ask for recommendations, such as the nearest restaurants or stores, or the best way to get from point A to point B. Users can save even more time by using ChatMap in combination with other MixerBox plugins, and ask conditional multi-part questions in a single query. This differentiates MixerBox from competing mapping applications.
MixerBox is an artificial intelligence super app development company founded by Taiwanese-Australian entrepreneur John Lai. He developed a passion for programming as a teenager, which inspired him to study computer science at the University of New South Wales. During his studies, Lai's team won the Australian Championship and a silver medal at the International Collegiate Programming Competition (ICPC) World Finals. Lai graduated from UNSW with 1st class honors and a university medal and enrolled in a master's program at Harvard University (USA).
Lai's experience and success inspired him to found MixerBox in 2012, a company dedicated to helping people live simpler lives through its 24/7 mobile app platform for everyday use. MixerBox successfully attracted its first investors, including Silicon Valley gas pedal Y Combinator, former Facebook CTO and Quora founder/CEO Adam D'Angelo, and Gmail creator Paul Buchheit. To date, the company's app downloads have exceeded 300 million worldwide. MixerBox aims to be a "platform for super apps for every occasion" that will provide a more convenient lifestyle for people around the world.
