SmartBear reveals new and upcoming integrations in its SwaggerHub API development platform

SmartBear announced that its SwaggerHub API development platform has been integrated with API development company Stoplight, which SmartBear acquired last summer.

According to the company, Stoplight helps simplify the API development process by providing an intuitive design interface. This makes API development accessible to non-technical users and simplifies the process for technical users.

"SmartBear's mission is to provide customers with the solutions and capabilities they need to improve the quality and efficiency of their development teams," said Sean Butler, vice president of product management at SmartBear. "The integration of Stoplight's advanced API design features into SwaggerHub underscores this commitment to improving the API development lifecycle, which is especially important now that artificial intelligence-related APIs are gaining momentum. Customers can expect multiple benefits, including a seamless developer experience from API development to deployment," said Sean Butler, VP of Product Management at SmartBear.

This follows the platform's recent integration with Spectral's API style guide enforcement program, which has provided API authors with new API quality assurance features such as advanced linking, style guide enforcement, and a user-friendly design interface. In addition to improving overall API quality, these features also help ensure API portfolio consistency and reduce potential errors.

Later this year, the company also plans to incorporate Prism into SwaggerHub, allowing developers to build mock servers based on their API definitions.

In addition, SmartBear announced its intention to reorganize its product portfolio of more than 20 solutions into three categories: API Hub, Test Hub, and Insight Hub.
