The ChatGPT plugin has been introduced for the Hedera network

Blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) convergence has occurred between ChatGPT and Hedera (HBAR), the proprietary cryptocurrency of the Hedera network. By leveraging the decentralized characteristics of blockchain networks, ChatGPT can establish a secure interaction with the Hedera network, accessing its tools such as Hedera Consensus Service, Hedera Token Service and Smart Contract Service.

On Twitter, developer Ed Marquez provided instructions on how to build the plugin, with a focus on token balances in Hedera accounts. According to Marquez, users can view account balances through a network explorer or programmatically retrieve them through the Rest mirror node's application programming interface (API), which is what the plugin will use. HBAR information is returned in tinybars (tℏ), where 100,000,000,000 tℏ corresponds to one ℏ.

Accounts in Hedera are kept in a ledger that holds tokens, including HBARs, exchangeable tokens, and non-exchangeable tokens created on Hedera.

ChatGPT's integration with the Hedera network via a plugin allows HBAR and token balances to be retrieved from Hedera accounts. This integration simplifies ChatGPT's interaction with the blockchain, making it easier for users to monitor and manage their assets.

Once the plugin is developed and the API is operational, users will be able to install it in the ChatGPT UI. Users will then be able to interact with ChatGPT to retrieve information about HBAR balances and tokens associated with Hedera accounts. The plugin will query the Rest API of the Hedera mirror node to retrieve the necessary information.

Blockchain technology ensures the verifiability and integrity of AI-generated content. Users can engage in microtransactions, access premium content and participate in the tokenized economy without worrying about high fees or delays.
